The 2023 International Forum on Carbon Emission Reduction of Building Materials Industry is to be held at the Friendship Hotel in Beijing on July 25. At the same time, Symposium of Technologies and Products Encouraged to Promote and Apply in the Building Materials Industry will be held, to interpret the "Catalog of Technologies and Products Encouraged to Promote and Apply in the Building Materials Industry (2023 Edition)" released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in April this year. 

The organizer, China Building Materials Federation (CBMF), is the only national and comprehensive authoritative organization in the building materials industry in China. Founded in 1985, CBMF has more than 1,500 members, composed of various enterprises and institutions engaged in building materials manufacturing, research and development, circulation, education, planning, standards, testing, certification, exhibition, trade, media, construction, and other fields. 

In 2021, we organized the first International Forum on Carbon Emission Reduction of Building Materials Industry, with the theme of "Low Carbon and Green Development". Representatives and experts from Holcim Group, FLSmidth，AGC Inc, China National Building Material Group, Huaxin Cement, Canada CCS Knowledge Center, McKinsey and other enterprises and research institutions were invited to deliver inspiring speeches. We exchanged and shared the technical paths and best practices in the field of carbon emission reduction, to jointly promote carbon neutrality. Nearly 300 people attended the forum at site, and more than 2000 people attended online.

As Yan Xiaofeng, President of CBMF, stated in his speech at the first forum, carbon peak and carbon neutrality is an extensive and profound change in economic and social system. CBMF has carried out comprehensive research on carbon emission reduction technologies and policies, aiming to promote the adjustment and optimization of the production mode, energy structure, industrial structure, technical structure and product structure of the building materials industry.
