On June 19th, the inauguration ceremony of the 2023 National Green Building Materials To Rural Areas Activity (Henan Station), themed "Green Building Materials Enter Every Household, Creating a Better Life Together," was held in Ruyang County, Luoyang City. Concurrently, a research activity on targeted assistance to Ruyang County by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was also conducted.

Xu Xiaolan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, emphasized in her speech that 2023 is a year of deepening the promotion of green building materials in rural areas. She urged continued exploration of new models for industrial promotion in rural areas and further implementation of the activities. She emphasized that all parties should focus on implementing the work according to the overall requirements of the 2023 activity plan and make efforts in four aspects: Firstly, efforts should be made in the aspects of ”quality, variety, brand” by accelerating the development of products in the rural living environment, improving the green building materials product system, enhancing the quality and service of green building materials, and expanding the influence of green building materials brands. Secondly, efforts should be made in consumer applications by building diverse methods, unblocking consumption channels, strengthening coordination and cooperation, and significantly improving the convenience and choices for rural consumers. Thirdly, efforts should be made in innovative models by exploring the shift from product promotion to industrial promotion in rural areas, supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises with better infrastructure and regional advantages, leveraging the leading role of key enterprises, and promoting the development of the entire green building materials industry chain. Fourthly, efforts should be made in publicity and guidance by strengthening cooperation with mainstream media, further enhancing the level of green consumption in the building materials market, and boosting confidence in the green and low-carbon transformation of the building materials industry.

Yan Xiaofeng, President of the China Building Materials Federation, stated that conducting the campaign of promoting green building materials in rural areas and advocating for the widespread adoption is an implementation of the central government's decision-making arrangements. It aims to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the building materials industry, guide the industry's stable growth, expand domestic demand, stimulate consumption, improve people's quality of life, enable them to enjoy green and healthy building materials products, and contribute to the urgent needs of beautiful rural construction.

After the ceremony, the attending leaders visited the green building materials exhibition and  companies participated in the green building materials activity, including Luoyang Northglass Lightweight Aggregate New Materials Co., Ltd., Taishi Energy Saving (Luoyang) Co., Ltd., and conducted research at the Ruyang Green Building Materials Industrial Park.
