On May 8th, CBMF organized the Symposium of China Building Materials Industry Foreign-Invested Enterprises in Shanghai. More than 60 leaders and media representatives from over 40 well-known foreign-funded enterprises in the building materials industry in China, including Switzerland, Denmark, France, Japan, Germany, the United States, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions of China, participated in the conference.
The theme of this meeting is "Deepening opening-up and cooperation , seeking green and low-carbon development", aiming to strengthen communication, understand the current development status and demands of foreign-funded enterprises in China, and assist them in discovering new opportunities, expanding new businesses, and seeking new development in the new era and new development pattern of China. Yan Xiaofeng, President of CBMF, Tang Song, Second Level Inspector of the Foreign Investment Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Chen Guoqing, Vice President of the China Building Materials Federation, Li Yeqing, Executive Vice President of CBMF and President of Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd., and Yang Qingyun, Vice President of CBMF and Chairman of Shanghai Building Materials (Group) Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was chaired by Liu Jianhua, Vice President of CBMF.
At the symposium, representatives of foreign-funded enterprises spoke enthusiastically and highly recognized the development goals of the building materials industry proposed by the CBMF, which is "Superior products and advanced industry, for the benefit of mankind." They also stated that they will actively participate in the "Six Zero" Demonstration Factory (Zero purchased electricity , Zero fossil energy, Zero primary resource, Zero carbon emission , Zero waste emission, Zero employee) construction, and the open competition mechanism to select the best candidates. At the same time, representatives also put forward specific opinions and suggestions on creating a stable, fair, transparent, and predictable business environment, and unifying relevant standards and certifications for green products.
